Literacy as Social Practice
Literacy as Social Practice had a focus in using literacy as a way to create students who are more involved and ready to participate in the world around them. Literacy was not stuck to reading and writing, but it was expanded to other aspects of the world and how we connect with it. It expanded my view of literacy. The project to the left was my culminating experience and an attempt to bring it into a 7th grade classroom.
Implementation and Evaluation of Curriculum
Implementation and Evaluation of Curriculum was a challenging class in that it challenged the way I perceived education and perceived curriculum. I won't say more than that, but I will say that I firmly believe that the classroom is all about a collection of experiences, and it is my job to create the best ones possible.

Advanced Teaching of Writing
As the final course in my graduate program, it only feels fitting to include the final created for this class. The goal of this class was to prepare a class syllabus for a Post-Secondary Composition course. As teachers with a higher degree, teaching higher education is a new ability we acquire. I began to realize this final as the natural synthesis and culmination of my learnings throughout graduate school. Looking at it now, this syllabus does a solid job of laying out my perfect literacy course. My thoughts, goals, and beliefs about what literacy education should be sits on this syllabus.
